Only personal bests on courses meeting World Athletics record-eligibility standards are included. Unofficial times (such as Eliud Kipchoge's 1:59:40 in a closed-controlled environment) or times on non-eligible courses (such as the Boston Marathon due to drop/point-to-point layout) are excluded.
